The LEEAP Center is a people-first, purpose-driven interdisciplinary therapy organization committed to delivering holistic, evidence-based, and high-quality therapy services for children and families across North Carolina.
We are at the forefront of comprehensive interdisciplinary pediatric care — bringing together Speech & Language Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Feeding/Swallowing Therapy, ABA Therapy, and a full range of Psychological Services under one roof, all rooted in evidence-based practice and delivered with genuine human warmth.

Our Journey
14+ Years of Growing Together
From a single speech therapist with an unshakable belief in children's potential to one of Charlotte's most respected pediatric therapy organizations — this is the story of The LEEAP Center.
A Vision Takes Root
Speech Tactics began its journey offering speech therapy exclusively in Mecklenburg County — one therapist, one mission, and a firm belief that children with special needs have incredible potential to soar when we believe they can!
All In
Founder Sharon Jordan faced a defining choice: stay in her hospital role which she loved dearly, or fully commit to a path that seemed to call her closer and closer to serving children and families. She chose the latter — and everything changed.
Growing Our Circle of Care
Responding to the needs of committed families, Speech Tactics added Occupational Therapy Services — welcoming the first OTR to the team and taking the first step toward truly interdisciplinary care.
A Community Grows
The clinical team grew to 15 therapists across Speech and OT. We expanded into our 3,500 sq ft Charlotte office. A therapy home for the growing community of families who called Speech Tactics their own.
Monroe: Bringing Care Closer
The first satellite office opened in Monroe, NC — eliminating long commutes for families in Union County and expanding the Speech Tactics community to a new region.
Resilience Redefined
The pandemic tested every organization. We endured tremendous hardship during this time, but we saw in the midst of trials the opportunity for great transformation. Speech Tactics emerged stronger — expanding tele-therapy, deepening community ties, and reaffirming its people-first, purpose-driven mission.
21,000 sq ft & Still Growing
The LEEAP Center now spans 21,000 sq ft — a thriving hub of interdisciplinary care, community programs, and clinical excellence. And we're just getting started.
