Our Approach

Occupational Therapy. The LEEAP Way.

At The LEEAP Center, our occupational therapists use a holistic, child-centered approach to help children develop the skills they need for meaningful participation in daily life. We believe every child deserves to experience the joy of independence — and we work tirelessly to help them get there.

Our OTs are specially trained in sensory integration, fine motor development, self-care skills, and school readiness. We partner with families to ensure that therapy goals are meaningful, functional, and generalized into real-life settings.

As part of Charlotte's premier interdisciplinary therapy hub, our OTs collaborate directly with SLPs, PTs, psychologists, and BCBAs — ensuring your child receives truly integrated, whole-child care.

Sensory Integration Expertise

Our OTs are trained in sensory integration theory and practice — creating individualized sensory diets and therapeutic environments that help children regulate and thrive.

Family-Centered Practice

We partner with parents and caregivers to ensure therapy goals are meaningful and that skills are generalized into home, school, and community settings.

Evidence-Based Interventions

From Handwriting Without Tears to the Zones of Regulation, our OTs use the most current, research-supported approaches for pediatric occupational therapy.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Our OTs work hand-in-hand with SLPs, PTs, psychologists, and BCBAs — creating a seamlessly integrated care experience for every child.

Our OTs are highly trained in sensory integration therapy — helping children regulate their responses to touch, sound, movement, and other sensory input so they can engage fully in school, play, and family life.
